Hey guys. I'll be away on Oct 11th and 12, so I can't lead anything. It's going to be a pretty fall weekend, I'm betting. Which one of our ride leaders wants to post for then?

Did you ever get passed by a motorcycle travelling between lanes? I did the other day. I assume that it's illegal, a one vehicle-one lane sort of rule. That being so, is it technically legal for a bicycle to pass a chain of cars waiting for a light to go to the head of the line? Obviously they can pass us on the left, two vehicles in one lane IF the lane is wide enough, and one of the vehicles is a bicycle. Can we pass them on the right? On the left?

There are always those days you go out riding and you find out the challenges and dangers of the sport. Saturday, 9/20 ride was exactly that.

We had a fine turnout tonight. The weather was cool and crisp with a bit of a breeze along the east side of the lake. It feels like fall is right around the corner.
